Concept, spatial design, and original artwork for an immersive audiovisual installation.
Role: Creative Direction, Experience Design, Visual Environment Design, Original Artwork, Audio Collaboration, Social Activation
An interactive virtual exhibition translating my original paintings into a spatial audiovisual experience.

Details was an immersive installation developed within a social VR environment. The project transformed a series of my original paintings and drawings into a navigable space where visitors could move through the artwork while experiencing a custom soundscape and environmental motion.

The goal was to create a quiet, contemplative environment that encouraged people to slow down, explore the artwork closely, and experience it in a new way through sound and spatial design.
My Role: Creative Direction and Experience Design
For this installation, I was responsible for the full visual and experiential concept, including:

• Creation of all original paintings and drawings featured in the exhibit
• Spatial layout and environmental design of the installation
• Art direction of the visual presentation and entry sequence
• Collaboration with a Horizon Worlds developer to implement the environment
• Direction of audiovisual elements including animated lighting and atmospheric motion
• Collaboration with musician Paul Green to create the soundscape
• Presentation of the work during a live Meet the Artist event within the museum space
Experience Design
The installation was designed as a small, vertical gallery environment that visitors approached from across the room before entering through a custom entry portal.

Inside the exhibit, large-scale versions of the paintings were arranged to encourage close observation of the intricate details in the work. Environmental effects such as subtle wind motion, animated lighting, and an atmospheric soundscape were introduced to create a calm and immersive atmosphere.

Visitors could sit within the environment and spend time experiencing the artwork and music together.
Design Approach
This installation was designed around the idea that artwork can be experienced spatially rather than viewed passively. By scaling the paintings to architectural size and layering sound, motion, and environmental atmosphere, the goal was to create a contemplative environment where visitors could slow down and experience the details within the work.
Outcome
The installation became one of the most visited areas within the museum space. Visitors frequently remained in the installation for extended periods, often returning with others to share the experience.
Exhibit exterior showing entry portal and large-scale reproductions of original acrylic paintings, designed to draw visitors into the installation from across the gallery space.
Interior view of the installation from the seating area, where visitors could experience the artwork alongside the soundscape and environmental motion.
Exhibit exterior design including acrylic paintings, entryway and proper signage to guide visitors through experience.
